HOST A THEATRICAL SCREENING
An Ocean Driven theatrical screening is free to set up through the Tugg web platform, and your organization receives 5% of the total ticket sales. Once enough tickets are sold, your event is confirmed!
HOW IT WORKS
Here’s a quick overview of the process:
- Schedule your event and create an event page through the Ocean Driven page on Tugg.
- Use tools from our Theatrical Screening Resource Kit to announce your screening and sell tickets.
- Sit back and enjoy the movie with you community.
- Follow up with your audience and keep them engaged.
Here’s what you’ll find in our Ocean Driven Theatrical Screening Kit: a guide that walks you through each stage of the process, email templates, social media posts, and more tools to make your screening a success.
THINGS TO KNOW
If you are planning a screening in a theater, here’s the key: You must pre-sell a certain number of tickets—the “threshold”—for the screening to be confirmed. Communicating this message to your networks is essential because most people are not used to purchasing movie tickets days or weeks in advance.
We recommend allowing 5–7 weeks to plan your event and provide a number of tools to help you promote and track ticket reservations. Once you reach the threshold, your theater booking is confirmed, and tickets will remain on sale through your event page until four hours prior to the event.
If your screening sells out, Tugg may be able to upgrade your event to a larger auditorium in the same venue, if available. If enough tickets are not sold before the deadline, the screening is cancelled and no one is charged for the reservation.
